We are Dementia Friends!

We, famPLUS - Care Consulting have joined the Dementia Partner initiative and will offer basic courses on dementia diseases as part of this effort.

In a course, information about the disease is provided along with tips on dealing with people with dementia. People with dementia need a sensitive neighborhood and environment to be able to live at home as long as possible.

The sponsor of the initiative is the German Alzheimer Society e.V., which launched the campaign on September 6, 2016, together with the Federal Ministry of Health and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs. In the next five years, the initiative aims to educate the general public about dementia diseases.

The Dementia Partner Initiative forms a roof over already active institutions and individuals. This increases the visibility of existing courses, sets quality standards, and initiates a nationwide movement and networking.

The Dementia Partner Initiative is linked to activities of the global Dementia Friends campaign. www.dementiafriends.org.uk ) on. This initiative was launched by the English Alzheimer’s Society to change the image and perception of people with dementia across society. Meanwhile, many other countries are participating, such as Canada, Israel, China, and soon also the USA.
