Now also in Hamburg: famPLUS branch as your local contact!

In the middle of Hamburg, at Rödingsmarkt, famPLUS employee Thomas Tietjen moved into his office in the "Mediadeck" office community in June 2015 and takes care of the concerns of companies and employees in Hamburg who use the famPLUS service. The central location is very advantageous, says Tietjen, because the Hanseatic city has a large catchment area and famPLUS is interested in being close to the customer.

These are partly calls from employees who have questions or need advice, partly customers who prefer to talk to me in the protected atmosphere of the famPLUS office, and, of course, I also forward all kinds of inquiries to colleagues in Munich when it comes to specific topics," Tietjen explains his area of activity.

As a special service for famPLUS customers from the Hamburg area, Tietjen also regularly offers consultation days in the respective companies, where he is available as a contact person in a quiet office. "It's just that some clients find it easier to describe their problem when sitting face-to-face, rather than doing it by email or phone," Tietjen reports. These consultation days in the respective companies, according to the expert, are well received.

His working hours are aligned with the usual office hours, but Tietjen is, of course, also available in the evenings and by appointment, because, as he exemplarily tells, many employees say bluntly: "I am happy to talk to you about my sick father, but I don't want to do that from the open-plan office." This is exactly why it is of great advantage that those interested in advice can visit the famPLUS office at Rödingsmarkt to receive counseling in peace, but also have the option to arrange a telephone appointment with the advisor at their convenience.

Sometimes these are calls after work hours, starting around 7 p.m.," says Tietjen. "And I am happy to take the time for this because it is important that many questions are clarified calmly, which also includes listening well initially." Empathy and professional experience are something the 51-year-old brings in abundance, having been well-trained through years of work as a care consultant.

Tietjen enjoys his job, which is felt by both the employees seeking advice and the contacts in the companies coordinating the collaboration with famPLUS. His door and his ear are open to those seeking guidance. "A relationship of trust develops, and that's a good thing. After all, these are sensitive topics," the specialist advisor summarizes his work. Anyone dealing with Thomas Tietjen is truly well-advised.
