Compatibility of Work and Family – DIN SPEC 77003 Creates Transparency and Comparability

The DIN SPEC 77003 initiated by famPLUS creates transparency and comparability.

Many working professionals wish for a better balance between work and family, for example through support in handling everyday tasks. Central to this is assistance in finding childcare or senior care, or a domestic help. The new specification DIN SPEC 77003 “Personal and Household Services - Information, Consulting, and Mediation” ensures better market transparency.

The specification establishes requirements for processes and procedures for providers of personal and household-related services. In addition, the DIN SPEC 77003 defines uniform terminologies and transparent reference processes or procedural models.

The DIN SPEC 77003 is a guideline that enables providers to deliver information, consulting, and mediation services optimally. This gives potential customers a basis of information to decide on a suitable offer. The specification is aimed at providers in the fields of childcare, support, care, and household management.

Quality standards ensure professionalization in household-related services. To create incentives for employing professional service providers in households instead of resorting to undeclared work, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy conducted a study examining how quality standards can invigorate the market for household-related services.

Expert forum on household-related services:
